Arts & Ideas

McCarter’s Arts & Ideas connects Princeton University scholarship, campus life and community partners to the work on our stage and behind-the-scenes.

We invite cross-disciplinary voices, world class artists and curious audiences to bring their unique perspectives to theater, music, dance, spoken word. And we invite YOU to take part in this cultural enrichment.

Programs include: Artists on Campus and in the Community, Theater-Infused workshops, curated Group Experiences, Behind the Scenes Tour & Talks, projects with the Lewis Center for the Arts, and Community Auditing, The Scholar’s Take, Student Mentorship & more.

Co-sponsored by the Humanities Council at Princeton University

The Scholar’s Take

A partnership with Princeton GradFUTURES, The Scholar’s Take is a series of cross disciplinary essays by students in response to select performances in McCarter’s season, and shared with audiences.

Theater Infused Workshops

Our signature workshops utilize theater to foster connection, build communication skills and bring the power of “narrative” into professional and personal interaction.
